Packed with oats, apples, and creamy peanut butter, they’re full of fiber, protein, and natural sweetness. Perfect for a quick breakfast, post-workout boost, or an after-school snack for kids — and they’re totally customizable with your favorite add-ins like chia seeds or dark chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium apple, finely chopped (Gala or Granny Smith recommended)

  • 1 cup rolled oats (use gluten-free if needed)

  • ½ cup natural peanut butter (no added sugar or oils)

  • 2–3 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)2 tbsp dark chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, cinnamon, and any optional add-ins like chia seeds or chocolate chips.

  • Add wet ingredients: Stir in peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and chopped apple. Mix until a sticky dough forms.

  • Adjust texture: If the mixture feels too dry, add a bit more peanut butter or honey.

  • Form bites: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls (you should get about 12–15).

  • Chill: Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Store bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.

  • To make vegan, use maple syrup instead of honey.

  • To make gluten-free, choose certified gluten-free oats.

  • Try adding cinnamon for an apple pie flavor or chocolate chips for a sweet twist.
