It combines a crunchy graham cracker crust, a rich cream cheese layer, and a sweet cherry topping. Easy to make and visually stunning, this dessert is ideal for any occasion, from casual gatherings to special events.

Ingredients

Base Layer:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • 6 tablespoons melted butter

Cream Cheese Layer:

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 cup whipped cream

Cherry Topping:

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • Fresh or canned cherries (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crust:
Crush graham crackers into fine crumbs. Mix with sugar and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture evenly into a 9×13 inch dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  • Make the Cheesecake Layer:
Beat cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Add powdered sugar gradually and mix until well combined. Gently fold in whipped cream to make the mixture light and airy.

  • Add the Cherry Topping:
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust. Spoon cherry pie filling (or your homemade cherry mix) over the top and spread evenly.

  • Chill and Serve:

  • Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours or until fully set. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a firmer crust, bake it for 8–10 minutes at 350°F (175°C) before cooling and adding layers.

  • You can use fresh or frozen cherries cooked with sugar and cornstarch for a homemade topping.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
