Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados

  • Tortilla chips (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Avocados: Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit. Scoop out the flesh and place it in a bowl.

  • Chop the Ingredients: Finely chop the onion, garlic, tomato, and cilantro.

  • Mash the Avocados: Use a fork or molcajete to mash the avocados to your desired consistency (smooth or chunky).

  • Add the Ingredients: Add the chopped onion, garlic, tomato, and cilantro to the mashed avocados.

  • Season: Add lime juice and salt to taste. Mix gently to combine.

  • Chill: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

  • Serve: Serve with tortilla chips. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Guacamole can be made ahead of time. To keep it fresh, cover the surface with plastic wrap to prevent browning.
