  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped

  • 1 jalapeño, sliced

  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro

  • 1 avocado, diced

  • ½ cup shredded lettuce

Dips & Sauces

Seasonings

  2. Prepare ingredients: Chop veggies, cook and season proteins, and get dips ready.

  3. Layer the chips: Spread a layer of tortilla chips on a baking sheet or skillet.

  4. Add the toppings: Sprinkle half the cheese, beans, and proteins. Add another chip layer, then repeat.

  5. Bake: Place in the oven for 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Serve: Add sour cream, salsa, and guacamole on the side or drizzle on top.

  8. Enjoy immediately while warm and cheesy!

Notes

  • Keep nachos warm by serving them in a cast-iron skillet or on a warming tray.

  • Add sauces just before serving to prevent sogginess.

  • For vegetarian nachos, skip meat and use beans or tofu.

  • Experiment with international twists—like Mediterranean (feta, olives) or Tex-Mex (refried beans, jalapeños).
